Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients that have abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors, or disease. Performs surgery to improve functions and to approximate a normal appearance. Being a Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Duties:
-Provide a wide range of physical assessments, diagnosis and treatment of a variety of dermatological disorders.
-Perform full body skin exams, biopsies, MOHS closures, cryotherapy, ED&C and excisions.
-Detailed documentation of medical histories, ordering laboratory tests and developing a treatment plan for patient care within our EMR system, Nextech.
Skills:
-Experience. We require a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a NP or PA-C in a Dermatology setting
- Strong clinical skills with experience in Dermatology care setting
- Proficient in performing physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans
- Familiarity with Nextech or similar electronic health record systems
- Must have active Florida license as an APRN
-Must be a graduate of an accredited program
-Certified Nurse Practitioner or PA-C
