Customer Service Associate
The role of the Customer Service Associate at The Plastic Forming Company is to provide every customer with outstanding, high quality service and assistance as well as providing front office support. Candidate needs to be a positive, upbeat team player. Primary focuses for this position are customer service, order processing, and general office duties. We are a small manufacturing company, and this position would need to be willing to jump in when needed to help support our entire team.
Duties include:
· Being a primary customer contact for The Plastic Forming Company
· Reaching out to customers via phone or email
· Responding to customer inquiries via phone as well as online chat portal
· Qualifying incoming leads and making contact
· Receive and process incoming customer orders via phone and online submission
· Work with production personnel to schedule orders
· Answer phones, screen calls, and provide basic product information such as lead times, pricing, pictures, etc.
· Coordinating conversion of the customer to a designated salesperson
· Update customer information when necessary
· Processing of invoices and collecting payments
· Problem resolution
· Book incoming orders of stock productions, including data entry and customer confirmation
· Coordinate sample requests with appropriate sales people
· Convey shipping information to both Connecticut and Ohio locations and print pick sheets
· Maintain files such as sales orders, invoices, and reports
· Issue RMAs
· Filling in for other office staff when needed (vacations, sick time, etc.)
· Greeting visitors at the front of the office
· General office duties like filing and answering the phone
· Processing production orders and reporting production data as needed
This list is not inclusive of all duties that may be required. Additional responsibilities may be needed when filling in or assisting other staff members. Will be cross-trained on all duties in the front office.
Requirements:
· Experienced customer service professional, manufacturing environment is a plus
· Must be detail oriented
· Outstanding interpersonal skills and a team player
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Must be well organized and possess time management skills
· Good listener who projects a calm demeanor and possesses skills in problem resolution
· Ability to work independently
· Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
· Previous experience using a Customer Relationship Manager package a plus
