Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients that have abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors, or disease. Performs surgery to improve functions and to approximate a normal appearance. Being a Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Position Highlights:
- Join a practice with over 25 years of experience in the community, led by a full-time Board-Certified plastic surgeon and supported by a part-time nurse practitioner.
- Engage in a diverse blend of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery, including body contouring, breast and facial procedures, and advanced techniques like FaceTite, BodyTite, Morpheus 8, and Fraxel laser treatments.
- Benefit from dedicated OR time for both cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries, ensuring focused and efficient patient care.
- Enjoy a five-day work week, with after-hours call for clinic patients, and participate in a shared facial trauma call with a local ENT practice (1:4 rotation, approximately 2-3 calls per month).
- Leverage a large referral base, as the only plastic surgery group in the west Georgia/east Alabama market, providing a steady stream of patients.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system for seamless patient management.
