Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients that have abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors, or disease. Performs surgery to improve functions and to approximate a normal appearance. Being a Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Job Description/Job Duties (include, but are not limited to):
· Monitor, report and correct any safety concerns and / or problems
· Schedule, perform, and document P.M. per machine manufacturer’s recommendations
· Locate repair parts and negotiate with vendor on best price
· Perform and document service work and maintenance work on all secondary (auxiliary) equipment
· Coordinate with technical support of machine manufacturers
· Troubleshoot all machinery or utilities
· Perform plant and equipment electrical and plumbing maintenance requirements as needed
· Maintain and document spare part inventory
· Order repair and maintenance components and supplies as needed
· Perform all general plant maintenance
· Operate forklift/ overhead cranes
