Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients that have abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors, or disease. Performs surgery to improve functions and to approximate a normal appearance. Being a Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. The ideal candidate has valid certification as a Medical Assistant with at least 18 months experience in a surgical office. You must have an interest and/or experience in Plastic Surgery and cosmetic treatments.
Responsibilities include assisting in minor surgical procedures, suture removal, setting up for injectables like Botox and fillers, using our electronic medical record, tracking inventory, taking vital signs, measuring height and weights. Must also be comfortable taking pre and post op digital photos.
There may be an occasional Saturday morning to accommodate the needs of the patient.
The Burnett Plastic Surgery Team consists of two providers, Dr. Burnett, a plastic Surgeon and Mukta Rane, RN, Aesthetic Nurse, medical receptionist, patient coordinator, our off-site consultant and also our practice manager.
