Performs surgery to improve functions and to approximate a normal appearance. Being a Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Job Summary
We are a plastic surgery office seeking a Front Office Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year experience working at a front desk or a medical office setting. The front office coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice.
Job Duties
*Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and transfer calls to the appropriate staff.
*Respond to online consultation requests in a timely manner.
*The front office coordinator checks patients in and out and enters patient information and updates patient’s medical record as needed.
*Scan patient documents in the electronic medical record.
*Schedule appointments and manage the surgery calendar. Work with medical staff to ensure surgery and pre and post operative appointments are scheduled accordingly.
*Prepare surgical quotes and present to patients. Collect patient payments.
*Follow office policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
*Assist healthcare providers with various administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
*High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
*Previous experience working in a medical office or similar setting preferred
*Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
*Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
*Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
