Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients that have abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors, or disease. Performs surgery to improve functions and to approximate a normal appearance. Being a Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice.     The Plastic Surgeon's primary role involves providing specialized care for patients with skin-related issues. Responsibilities include professional patient care, treatment planning, collaborating with referring physicians, coaching the nursing team, adhering to company policies, and fostering communication with patients and staff. High-performing candidates may also have the opportunity for a medical directorship position or equity stake in the company.

    Role Qualifications
    • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License
    • Current and active FRCSC certification
    • A strong passion for the medical, surgical, and cosmetic field
    • Certifications for lasers, Botox, and/or dermal filler an asset, but not required
    • Prior experience in the cosmetic and aesthetic medicine industry an asset, but not required
