Surgeon - Trauma examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats critically injured patients. Performs emergency procedures including endotracheal tube intubation, tube thoracostomy, pericardiocentesis, ultrosonographic evaluation, and peritoneal lavage. Being a Surgeon - Trauma reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Trauma may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Vascular Surgeon
Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Heart and Vascular Center’s Section of Vascular Surgery is seeking a Vascular Surgeon. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) clinical position based at our primary tertiary care center in Lebanon, NH. All surgeons in the group also work in outreach clinics across the system. While expertise in advanced endovascular aortic intervention will be of interest, all interested candidates should apply for review by our Search Committee.
