Surgeon - Trauma examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats critically injured patients. Performs emergency procedures including endotracheal tube intubation, tube thoracostomy, pericardiocentesis, ultrosonographic evaluation, and peritoneal lavage. Being a Surgeon - Trauma reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Trauma may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. The Division of Trauma Surgery at Banner North Colorado Medical Center is actively seeking a Full-time Trauma Surgeon to provide a full range of surgical services to those in Greeley and surrounding communities. North Colorado Medical center is a 298-bed Level II trauma center and acute care facility known for our excellent patient care and dedication to the communities we serve. Experience is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply as our well-established team of surgeons are ready to support the candidate. The ideal candidate will be flexible, comfortable with working independently, and focused on excellent patient care.

Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Training
Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care

Salary Range: $385K-$450K (depending on experience)
