Surgeon - Trauma jobs in Kennewick, WA

Surgeon - Trauma examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats critically injured patients. Performs emergency procedures including endotracheal tube intubation, tube thoracostomy, pericardiocentesis, ultrosonographic evaluation, and peritoneal lavage. Being a Surgeon - Trauma reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Trauma may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice.     Professional Details:
     Level IV Trauma Center (1:3 call)
     Growing and expanding Critical Access Hospital
     Currently building a 96,000 sq. ft addition that includes a new OR suite, housing 5 new ORs, 2 endoscopy suites (which can flex to 2 additional ORs), 15 pre-post-op rooms, and 7 PACUs
     Four 10-hour days per week
     Local University with Athletics Program
     Clinic located immediately adjacent to the main hospital in the Regional Medical Plaza featuring on-site x-ray suite with 1:1 medical support staffing.
