This non-exempt position is a key role in electronic medical records for creation as well as ensure all patients experience the highest level of care & service. The Intake Coordinator will lead the creation of all new medical records and referral management. This position works closely with our billing/coding team to ensure patients are accurately informed of their medical costs and coverages while providing finance/insurance solutions, as well as working closely with the nursing team to ensure appropriate clinical information is documented within the patient’s medical records. A key role to this position is being a true advocate for the patients by being the link of coordination and communication between patients, family members, medical staff, administrative staff, and insurance companies to ensure patients are receiving the best possible services from Alyeska Vascular Surgery.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Employee must be able to remain in stationary position for 75% of time, person needs to occasionally move about inside office to access file cabinets, office machinery etc. Constantly operates computer and other office productive machinery such as printer, fax, scanner, etc. Occasional requirement to position self to stoop, kneel, and or crouch when adjusting equipment or stocking supplies. Person must frequently communicate with patients, employees and physicians to further ensure coordination of care. Must be able to lift weight of 15 pounds or less.
