Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is looking for a full time Vascular Sonographer to join our Vascular team in Alaska's "Golden Heart City". Fairbanks, Alaska is located in the interior of the state where you can find adventure, culture, solitude or scenery. Preferred candidates will have 2 years of experience and national certification as a RVT with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or RVS with the Cardiovascular Credentialing International. This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
Requires national certification in the area of specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International. For new graduates, certification must be completed within 12 months of hire. BLS certification required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1-2 years of experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems. Foundation Health Registry and Travel positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as an Ultrasound Technologist in the specialty area is preferred.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in either echocardiography imaging or vascular imaging preferred, Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
