Surgeon - Vascular specializes in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment of patients with diseases of the blood vessels outside the heart and brain. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Being a Surgeon - Vascular identifies need for tests or follow-up visits. Reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Additionally, Surgeon - Vascular may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Surgeon - Vascular's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     In collaboration with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, we provide high-quality, patient-centered health care.     MAPMG physicians are salaried, without the pressures of alternative payment models or fee-for-services.  Our members have easy access to specialists and medical records, thus allowing you to treat the whole patient.

      

    What You Can Expect:

    • A full spectrum of vascular procedures, including thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, lower extremity revascularization, cerebrovascular procedures, dialysis access procedures, and varicose vein procedures, endovascular procedures including TCAR, EVAR and TEVAR, and percutaneous AV fistulas.
    • Work with a team of 5 Vascular Surgeons

    Minimum Requirements:

    • MD or DO
    • Board Certified or Eligible in Vascular Surgery
    • Strong preference for candidate with at least 2 years of experience, including but not limited to a full training in catheter-based procedures and reading vascular lab studies.
    • Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
    • Work visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.
