Job Summary: The Flowers Medical Group Patient Representative performs clerical, coding and auditing duties as well as any other job duties deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care within the physician clinic. Performs Check-in and Check-out functions to include obtaining all patient information and accurately creating an electronic patient record. Scans insurance card and driver’s license in Athena. Observes patient waiting area for cleanliness and organization at all time. This position does not deliver direct patient care.
Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Computer training and college course work is preferred.
Experience: One (1) year clerical experience in physician office or hospital preferred. Billing experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: BLS preferred.
