Additionally, Surgical Technologist may assist in patient transport. Requires completion of surgical technologist training course. Requires a high school diploma. Requires CPR certification. As a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room at Cleveland Clinic Weston, you will be involved in patients’ individualized care before, during, and after surgery. You will enhance and develop your skills as an experienced Surgical Technologist in a large variety of complex surgical cases in the 18-suite Operating Room Department, including but not limited to organ transplants, orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases, following established standards, department guidelines and hospital policies and procedures. You will be responsible for peer education, advocacy, maintaining the sterile field and resources, coordinating care and enforcing standards, all while following the guidelines set by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
The hours of this full-time position are five 8-hour day shifts per week, 6:45am to 3:15pm, during the orientation period. After orientation, other shifts could be available, including 10- or 12-hour day or evening shifts. In addition, approximately 10 on-call shifts per month are required, covering overnight and weekend hours.
