Responsibilities

•  
• * Provide direct surgical and indirect perioperative care as directed by the circulating nurse for specific procedures in a timely manner according to established policies and specifications of the attending surgeon.
• * Assist the surgeon in a wide variety of complex surgical procedures that may include General, Neurological, Orthopedic, Gynecologic, Urologic, ENT, Oral/Maxofacial and Plastics and Vascular surgery.
• * Provide assistance in exposure, hemostasis, and other functions that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.
• * Clean, process and sterilize surgical instruments.
• * Assist in draping the patient for surgery based on established and written protocols.
• * Maintain the consumable supply readiness of the surgical suite.
• * Conducts required patient identification verification
• * Performs other duties as assigned.
