We are actively hiring for a Surgical Technologist.This is a full time opportunity, 40 hours per week, 10 hour shifts, 6:45am-5:15pm, Call is 1 night per week and every 4-5th weekend. $10k sign on bonus.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Surgical Technologist Responsibilities:

• Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring the equipment is functioning properly and safely
• Prepares the operating room and the sterile field for surgical procedures by preparing sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment using sterile technique
• Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how it relates to the patient and surgical procedure
• Anticipates usual and unexpected events during the surgical procedure and responds in an efficient manner
• Handles and processes surgical specimens according to established policy/procedure

Qualifications

Surgical Technologist (CST) Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program, required.
• Prior Experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.

• Standing and walking for extensive periods of time
• Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs
• Corrected vision and hearing to within normal range
• Working irregular hours
