    Job Description Overview:

    Greif's Paper Packaging and Services (PPS) Recycling division seeks a college co-op student

    to join its Recovered Fiber Group facility in Mobile, AL. The PPS division manufactures

    containerboard, coated recycled paperboard, uncoated recycled paperboard, and industrial and

    corrugated products while providing recycling services to various industries across North

    America. The co-op program allows students to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic

    manufacturing environment while working alongside experienced professionals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Gain an understanding of testing equipment, quality variables, and attributes of finished products through quality control activities.
    • Work closely with the facility manager to receive guidance and mentorship throughout the semester.
    • Perform full-time hourly duties, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

    Required Skills:

    • Currently enrolled in a college program, pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business, manufacturing).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Analytical and interpersonal skills.
    • Professionalism, leadership potential, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
    • Acceptance of responsibility and pride in work performed.
    • Flexibility in accepting assignments and schedules.
    • Dependability and commitment to maintaining professional behavior.

     

    Upon graduation, students who demonstrate exceptional engagement and comprehension during the co-op program may be considered for salaried administrative positions. Potential positions include but are not limited to, facility and production-level management roles within the Greif organization.
