Description

The Legislative Research Commission is accepting applications for the position of a Session Switchboard Operator. This position is nonpartisan in nature and requires the ability to work with neutrality in a politically charged environment.

This is a temporary position that will begin in December and last through April 2024. Overtime hours will be expected.

This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time or recurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115.

Job Duties: Operate a multi-line phone console; responsible for receiving and forwarding calls to Legislators and staff as well as forwarding outside agency calls; must be able to perform under pressure and communicate clearly; must be able to sit for long periods of time; other duties as assigned.
