Masonic Village at Elizabethtown is currently hiring a Switchboard Operator. This is a Part Time with benefits position. Opportunities Include:

• Every Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 am - 2:00 pm. (Includes 1 additional 8 hour day within a 2 week period)

What You'll Do:

As a Switchboard Operator, you will carry out our Mission of Love by operating a switchboard and related communications equipment (i.e. radio transmitters/simplex panel). You will processes calls to the appropriate department/or residents. Our Switchboard Operator is responsible for the following:

• Handles incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
• Pages personnel and relays message through two-way radio.
• Monitors fire alarm panel and communicates alarm reports to security and maintenance.
• Keeps fire alarm logs and tests.
• Dispatches MVE staff to locations of incidents.
• Handles emergency fire calls, resident emergency calls, other medical calls, emergency pull cords, and receives and dispatches 911 emergency calls.
• Reports fire panel or monitoring station problems.
• Implements communications for MVE emergency response team as needed according to MVE emergency preparedness plan response.

What You Definitely Have:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Pleasant and professional telephone manners.
• Previous switchboard experience preferred.
• Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
