    ABOUT THE ROLE

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team, supporting 20 office locations, 2 data centers and M365 E5/BIM360/ACC environments. As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our essential IT infrastructure, Azure services including Azure AD, storage, compute, Intune, etc. Hyper-converged Virtualized Environment (VMware, Dell, VXrail) alongside operating systems, Monitoring Tools (Control Up, PRTG, VMWare).

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Administer and manage virtual resources, ensuring seamless integration and operation of systems architecture components.
    • Monitor event logs for warnings and errors and proactively address potential issues.
    • Ensure the optimal performance of virtual servers and endpoints for all systems.
    • Manage user/group accounts and security permissions.
    • Implement and enforce group policies.
    • Monitor data center health using existing management tools.
    • Respond promptly to hardware issues as they arise and participate in equipment testing and maintenance.
    • Conduct routine and scheduled audits of all systems.
    • Implement access controls, backups, and firewalls to ensure system security based on guidelines from the Security Manager.
    • Possess a strong understanding of security practices in an infrastructure environment.
    • Install and configure software and hardware.
    • Set up accounts and workstations for users.
    • Scripting: Powershell, API configurations
    • Assist the service desk and other teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
    • Provide timely and efficient technical support to resolve software, hardware, and network-related issues.
    • Facilitated troubleshooting and access to print and license servers.
    • Office location infrastructure - planning for office changes (renovations, moves), maintaining and upgrading current infrastructure, etc.
    • Ensure all infrastructure appliances are under warranty and supported (from a security perspective), especially within server rooms and data centers.
    • Ensure seamless upgrades of systems with new releases and models.
    • Provide a roadmap for refreshing appliances within 5 years.
    • Knowledge of storage and backup platforms such as Isilon/Powerscale, Nasuni, and Veeam is a plus.
    • Travel as required. 

    ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of related experience is required, 10 years is preferred.
    • Preferred certifications: Microsoft Azure administration, Microsoft Windows desktop and Server certifications, VMware VCP-DTM, and/or VCP-DCV (Horizon and VCenter).
    • Strong customer service, communication skills, documentation, attention to detail, and innovative thinking are essential.
    • Ability to provide technical software, hardware, and network problem resolutions in a user-friendly professional manner.
    • Must be a self-starter capable of working well independently, managing multiple technology issues, and prioritizing deadlines.
    • Strong knowledge of MS Windows 10/11 desktop, Microsoft 365, and VMware vSphere and Horizon is required.
    • Knowledge of various software applications (Adobe CS Suite, Autodesk Products, Bluebeam, Rhino, Sketchup, Jive, V-Ray, MS Teams, Argos, Azure, Microsoft 365 suite of products, PDQ Deploy, and Deltek Vision) is a plus.

    The salary range for this position is $91,200 - $114,000 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances.
