Responsibilities

Sentinel is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator for one of our partners located in Fremont, California. In this role you will wear a few hats under the direction of an IT Delivery Manager. Your experience in system administration, networking, break/fix, peripherals, hardware and software administration and support will have positioned you for a successful career with our client. You will be relied upon to work independently and as a stakeholder for the IT presence in this organization. You will work with cross functional teams allowing opportunities for personal and professional growth. This is an Onsite role located in Fremont, California which will require travel between two locations a few miles apart.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Systems Engineer or Systems Administration role
• Ability to take initiative and ownership in identifying issues and proposing solutions
• Hands-on experience installing and maintaining computer hardware and software
• Hand-on experience with Cisco networking hardware and configuration
• Hands-on experience with DNS, VPN, VLANS and Wireless Networks
• Excellent communication skills to include phone, written and in-person communication
• The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
• A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation Range: 

Systems Administrator $50-$65 hour
