Responsibilities include:
• Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity
• Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
• Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues
• Provide technical direction to IT support staff
• Ensure constant availability of technical resources
• Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety
• Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention
Requirements
· Minimum of five years of Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 Infrastructure experience
· Minimum of five years of Firewall, IDS, and/or IPS administration and configuration experience.
· Experience with cabling management
· Minimum of five years securing a Cisco environment in accordance with DISA STIGs
Education: Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
Certification: CompTIA Security certification or equivalent required.
Security Clearance: An Interim DoD Secret Clearance is required to start. Personnel may be required to obtain and maintain a TS clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Preferred Skills
• Master’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• Advanced Cyber Certification – GSLC; CISSP; CISM; CAP; CASP
