We're working with a multi-billion dollar manufacturing company with a wide range of services/product offerings. They are looking for a Sr. Systems Architect to join their team on a contractual basis.
It's worth noting that this company preparing for the adoption of a cloud-first strategy and will be looking to retire several systems over the next 36 months. That said, this is a multi-year roadmap and involves multiple systems.

This position is a critical role in Energy s Smart Factory digital transformation initiative, in which the Enterprise Information Technology (IT) is partnering with the business to deliver solutions to Energy s diverse global manufacturing sites.
Specific Job Content: As a member of Energy s Enterprise IT organization, this position has the responsibility for the solution architecture, functional design, testing, deployment and support of Smart Factory IT applications, which will also include partnering with internal teams and vendors for the technical development. The scope of this position includes utilizing and evolving available solutions and platforms, as well as, the continuous exploration of evolving Smart Factory technologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong IT application background along with experience developing and implementing solutions to support manufacturing process requirements. The candidate should have experience with the implementation and integration of enterprise-level systems such as ERP. The candidate should have an understanding of IT infrastructure including networking, servers and hardware (end-user) devices used in manufacturing. The candidate should also have understanding of cyber security. Experience with SCADA and/or PLCs is a plus. This position provides opportunities for domestic and international travel.
Experience within supply chain, specifically inventory management and material flow is advantageous.
General Objective: Technical advisor of the design, implementation and maintenance of Smart Factory systems. Prepare architecture design materials and capable of presenting to upper management. Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and standards documents. Provide on call escalation support of systems. Establish service level agreements with customers. Establish and review capacity, utilization and other performance. Capable of participating in multiple concurrent development projects. Collaborates directly with all management levels and project leaders to determine system objectives and solutions. Provides updates to the Smart Factory COE. May act as a mentor. Provides technical direction to IT staff in the performance of assigned projects.
