Systems Architect is responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of an organization's overall IT systems. Designs systems to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. Being a Systems Architect defines system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Additionally, Systems Architect establishes, implements, and documents technology integrations or migration strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. As a Systems Architect at Cisco, you will partner with our Account Managers in a pre-sale technical role. Showcasing Cisco product solutions; setting up demonstrations and explaining features and benefits to customers. Designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs. Gain access to the broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications in a variety of vertical markets. In addition to technological proficiency, and the ability to learn quickly and keep abreast of the latest technology.
You will have direct account and partner responsibilities for selected accounts in assigned territory. Keep up to date on relevant competitive solutions, products, and services. Provide technical and sales support for accounts in assigned territory. Perform technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects. Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.

We are the Federal – Joint Forces Region. A team of Systems Architects who team with Account Managers, Partners, and Customers to ensure the best possible solution. We develop next-generation IT solutions for the future of our country. This role will primarily support the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, AL, Colorado Springs, CO and other potential remote locations. We have been in roles from 1 year to 20 years and support and empower each other. We have a wide range of interests outside of work, but we all love technology (and most of us have built our own Cisco network in our homes)!
