Systems Architect is responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of an organization's overall IT systems. Designs systems to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. Being a Systems Architect defines system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Additionally, Systems Architect establishes, implements, and documents technology integrations or migration strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. You will join a dynamic and rapidly growing collaborative practice to work on projects throughout the United States and abroad. While the position is based in Champaign, Indianapolis or Raleigh you will work on projects being managed from all our current studios (including Denver and Chicago). This position will entail project management and involvement in all phases of the design process, from marketing submittals and participation in the pursuit of projects through SD, DD, CD and CA. Required Experience/Skills: We are seeking candidates with exceptional graphic and written communication skills, demonstrated design strength, organizational skills, high emotional intelligence, a strong curiosity about the world, a passion for learning and design excellence, a strong desire to collaborate and excellent grasp of technical issues. Experience with construction documents and management of subconsultants is essential. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketchup. Familiarity with Revit, Enscape, and Civil 3D are preferred.
Travel: We have a national and international practice. Periodic regional and national travel is likely, and international travel is possible.
