Systems Architect is responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of an organization's overall IT systems. Designs systems to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. Being a Systems Architect defines system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Additionally, Systems Architect establishes, implements, and documents technology integrations or migration strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Architect with 5 years of experience to assist in the growth of our Architectural Department. This full-time position will be based in our Dixon, IL office and requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Architecture Degree with a Professional Architectural License(s). This position will be responsible for the development of design solutions for a variety of project types, communication with clients, consultants, agencies, and staff, as well as the technical and production aspects of projects from project inception through project completion. This position offers considerable growth potential. Competitive wage and benefit package offered. Salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Development and execution of project design solutions
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Manage, review and coordinate work for multiple projects within the Department
- Provide leadership in the following areas
- Skills in professional practice
- Establishment of design standards
- Business development
- Staff development
- Project design/delivery
- Client relations
- Continued and future growth of the Architecture Department
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Architecture Degree required
- State of Iowa and Illinois Professional Architectural License required
- 5 years of experience preferred
- Ability and desire to effectively communicate
- Ability to multi-task

- Creative and proactive in all project tasks
