Designs systems to consider functional requirements, scalability, and security. Being a Systems Architect defines system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Additionally, Systems Architect establishes, implements, and documents technology integrations or migration strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.     Primary Function:

    The Integrated Systems Consultant will seek out and manage new installation opportunities across New York State.  This individual will identify and bid on projects including large commercial fire installations. They will also develop relationships with customers, primarily electrical contractors. The Integrated Systems Consultant must be able to collaborate on system design with our engineering team and be technically proficient enough to participate in installations as needed.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Build and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, general contractors, builders and architectural firms.
    • Maintain technical certifications.
    • Be able to participate in installation as needed.
    • Hunt for bid opportunities.
    • Lead/assist in system design including commercial fire, commercial intrusion, access control & video surveillance.
    • Manage installers on project sites.


    Marginal Job Functions:

    • Maintain manufacturer relationships.
    • Identify, establish and maintain sub-contractor relationships.
    • Use CRM to report on sales activity.
    • Attend engineering team meetings.


    Physical and Mental Requirements:

    • Requires frequent travel to customer & Doyle locations.
    • Ability to program and learn to program commercial fire panels, primarily Honeywell.
    • Strong organizational skills.


    Position Prerequisites:

    • A minimum of 5 years in security industry in either a sales, estimating, technical and/or project management role.
    • Knowledge of electronic security or similar technical environment.
    • Experience working with electrical contractors.
    • Ability to read and understand bid specifications and RFP’s.
    • Able to direct and manage installers in the field.


    Preferred Skills / Certifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years in security industry in either a sales, technical and/or project management role.
    • NICET or other fire alarm related certifications.
    • Notifier experience and/or certification.
