Role Summary
The Systems Analyst will monitor and maintain various systems. This position will be responsible for operational monitoring and reporting. Analyze and trouble shoot issues, make initial repairs, and perform necessary tuning and optimization. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
SYSTEMS ENGINEERING FAMILY - CORE
- Acts as first line of support for many operational issues and tracks ongoing support issues, as well as manages difficult or emotional customer situations promptly and efficiently.
- Tracks office growth, office moves and network capability.
- Recommends, implements, and monitors systems management activity and tasks.
- Monitors network performance to determine flexibility and efficiency, and provides recommendations to expand to meet changing needs of user departments, and to accommodate future expansion.
- Helps with the creation, testing and/or modification of systems based on system design specifications.
- Researches new technologies by attending seminars, reading blogs, or taking classes, and implement or recommend the implementation of new technologies.
- Operates mater consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
- Maintains and monitor systems related to Disaster Recovery and Data Backup.
- Monitors system performance and performs data recovery operations when needed.
- Manages asset management of enterprise inventory, excluding end user devices, and maintains an inventory of parts for emergency repairs.
- Performs data analysis for anomaly detection.
- Acts as subject matter expert for a variety of IT related systems or applications.
- Trains end users or peers on particular applications, services, devices, or concepts.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Certifications
- Successful completion of company training and role-specific professional development coursework, within required timeframe
- Network Certification
- Security Certification
- Cisco CCNA
Experience
- 2 Years operations experience (Required).
- In Depth knowledge of network protocols, vlans, layer2/3.
- Understanding of routing protocols e.g., bgp, eirgp, ospf .
- Installation of networking hardware and cabling.
- Understanding of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds desired)
- Demonstrated knowledge of wireless hardware and protocols.
- Understanding of server hardware and configuration.
- Familiar with virtualization, backups, and storage solutions.
- Familiar with a variety of operating systems.
- Familiarity with scripting languages e.g., python
