POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Pre-sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical solutions to new and existing customers by leveraging the range of IT products in the area of services, datacenter infrastructure, network, storage and compute. The Pre-sales engineer must be able to articulate Rahi System’s value add around technology and product solutions, positioning to both business and technical users. This role requires to provide technical support and guidance during the pre-sales process by identifying the customers’ technical requirements, prior to solution design, consulting with SMEs (subject matter experts), and supporting account manager with quotes and proposals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for all pre-sales/post sale activities including RFP/RFI response.
Analyze IT Infrastructure Services requirements for customers and design appropriate cost-effective services/ Solutions/Service Design dealing with all components of an IT Infrastructure in datacenter and campus environment.
Participate and team up with sales, delivery and partners to provide complete solutions to customers.
Build and develop business case, provide relevant and sound business & technical advice to the customers and stakeholders.
Assist the sales group with requests for quotes, datasheet, bids, proposals and statements of work.
Create, maintain and publish a set of written procedures and best practices for the delivery of pre and post sales services to customers.
Present technical briefings to executives.
Assist sales account managers with overall account planning as it relates to technical aspects of DC Infrastructure products and services opportunity development
Planning and designing solutions from multi-vendor Data Center Solutions
Assist sales account managers with project management for complex presales engagements
Requirements:
10 years of the experience in Electrical Fit Outs with Datacenter and Colocations environments.
10 years of experience in Datacenter Services/Products including pre-sales.
A deep understanding of IT infrastructure and the challenges faced by enterprises and IT practitioners in managing their increasing complex IT infrastructure and navigating dynamics within IT organizations.
Have Pre Sales/Solution Design and/or Service Delivery Experience with Datacenter Infrastructure Services.
Have at least 5 years of experience in professional services/alliances/solution engineering/consulting/technical sales with expertise in architecting and deploying solutions, rolling out new technology, and solution initiatives.
Having the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers, including conceptual design and white board sessions.
Having the ability to interact effectively with senior business managers.
Have strong experience in building solutions, and ability to tailor proposal or presentation for given scenarios.
Have strong customer engagement background and expertise.
Certified in applicable technology field
College degree preferred, high school diploma required
