What Are we Looking For?

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitors overall compliance with local, state, and federal requirements relating to the operation and preventative maintenance of transportation fleet vehicles, including but not limited to minivans, wheel-chair vans, and yellow school buses.
• Assists in calculating and communicating safety performance metrics and goals for the organization and regularly tracks and reports on progress against safety goals.
• Develops positive working relationships with insurance and industry representatives. As well as oversees insurance, lost revenue, and safety-related claims. The Safety Director will also monitor internal and external accidents and incident reporting.
• Coordinates and conducts regularly scheduled internal audits and risk analyses for all locations and works in conjunction with the Safety Committee to identify, correct, and abate recognized safety hazards, behaviors, non-compliant programs, and other loss exposures.
• Proactively works and maintains working relationships with all work sites.
• Investigate and respond to any safety complaints and concerns and accidents as needed.
• Prepares and submits reports including, but not limited to required accident reports, OSHA logs, and BLS.
• Maintains and updates all safety records, SOP’s, and written programs.
• Collaborates with road supervisors to oversee coaching, evaluations, and safety operations.
• Transports vehicles to the garage for service and repair as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
