Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements. Additionally, Systems Consultant/Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Systems Consultant/Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.   • Position Summary:
    The IT Systems Administrator will serve as devoted and primary resource to support the information technology related medical practice office needs of Conway Medical Center (CMC). This involves managing the Help Desk Analyst and being liaison between various departments and the Conway Medical Center IT department.  This individual will handle a multitude of functions and will continuously re-prioritize to meet the IT needs of the practices.  The IT Systems Administrator is responsible to provide administrative support for the CMC software and hardware systems and related components used to deliver production services. Working in conjunction with IT and the Ambulatory IT Analyst, this individual provides technical leadership and direction for the automation and improvement of overall operations. Identifies areas for improvement, prepares project plans and assists in managing all phases of projects both large and small. This individual will team with IT and coordinate all project activity with other IT resources to ensure effective delivery of services.   The IT Systems Administrator is responsible to provide resolution, leadership and training on issues assigned from help desk and field service operations when required. 

    The Systems Administrator is expected to work well in a team-oriented environment, and be committed to following IT policies, procedures, and practices. Overall the IT Systems Administrator strives to increase support available to medical office practice users and decreases the amount of support required from outside vendors with an end goal of increasing overall system availability and user satisfaction to the user base.  IT Systems Administrator must be willing to work during any emergency situation, this includes if needed during inclement weather, mass casualty, internal disaster, etc. The IT Desktop Administrator will complete other projects and duties as assigned.  

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 2 years experience in implementing and/or supporting a VMware Horizon View Desktop solution is required, to include:
      • Management of a vSphere Environment for Desktops
      • Troubleshooting issues related to virtual desktops
      • Scripting and Group Policy Object management
    • Understanding of drivers for completing requests for Virtual Machines in order to successfully support the environment required.
    • Thorough knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating systems, Windows Server operating systems, and the TCP/IP protocol required.
    • Specific Product Experience with the following is preferred:
      • Imprivata OneSign
      • Zero Clients
      • Dell Desktop Authority
      • Cisco UCS
      • Trend Micro Deep Security
      • EMC XtremIO
    • Experience in Mobile Device Management Solutions is preferred
    • Experience in a Healthcare organization while deploying computer system applications in a client/server network environment is preferred
    • Specific physician practice related IT experience preferred.
    • Prior experience with Athena practice management software preferred.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration:

    • VMware Certified Professional Desktop (5.0) preferred.
    • Microsoft Certification preferred
    • Valid SC driver’s license in good standing and personal transportation to travel to various medical practice sites throughout the region required.

    • Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required.
    • Strong organizational skills required.
    • String ability to work independently required.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to relay technical information to non-technical users is required.
