Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements. Additionally, Systems Consultant/Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. Job Description:
- Assist in various assigned tasks, troubleshooting, training, and workflow recommendations.
- Conduct blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, maintenance data recording, decontamination, patient information updates, etc.
- Collect and store specimens following established protocols.
- Provide clear and courteous explanations of venipuncture (blood drawing) or other specimen collection processes (e.g., urine or fecal).
- Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Understand all physicians' orders thoroughly.
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as per test orders.
- Ensure 100% accuracy by checking test requisitions or computer labels against scripts.
- Prepare specimens for transport and store them according to required temperatures.
- Accurately label samples and follow specific protocols for transport to maintain specimen integrity.
- Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Participate in annual departmental trainings.
- Handle telephone inquiries and read laboratory results.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment where required.
- At least 6 months of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2-4 years of experience.
