Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises test engineer team employees. Performs supervisory responsibilities by directing and allocating employee resources in accordance with company policies, applicable laws and company initiatives/goals. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work (including scheduling); appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Acts as a change agent, and develops a high-performing team in the spirit of exceptional service to all internal and external partners.
Qualifications/Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10-15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role including at least 3 years of direct management experience required. Excellent interpersonal communication and strong presentation skills are required. Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry is helpful.
Proven experience implementing and leading quality assurance program for software products.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience with managing teams in an agile culture, including working with delivery, product, and portfolio level teams. Must have strong communication skills; including the ability to gather and communicate metrics across the organization and the ability to collaborate, initiate and drive change.
Experience with Application Development, Agile, Lean, DevOps methodologies, Automated Testing, SQL and Relationship management (BRM/CRM) are required. Preferred experience with Version One, Selenium, Jenkins, SQL Server, Cucumber, Power BI and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in the use of java-based libraries (Selenium, Rest Assured, etc.) is essential. Strong understanding of both UI and API testing is required. Familiarity with Jenkins preferred. Familiarity with all types of tests including component/unit, integration, system, and acceptance.
