Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements. Additionally, Systems Consultant/Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Systems Consultant/Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     SUMMARY

    Directs the financial activities of an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.   Other duties may be assigned.

    • Responsible for accounting, A/R, A/P, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), taxes, treasury, insurance, audit, R&D controlling, SG&A controlling, fixed assets, and standard cost rolling
    • Lead a team in both USA and Mexico. Develop the organization.  
    • Overseeing month end closing, balance sheet account reconciliation, month end result analysis, variance analysis.
    • Maintain a clean balance sheet and develop cash flow statement.
    • Forecast cash flow and ensure funding needs through bank negotiation and Group support
    • Supervising treasury operations, review and approve cash transactions.
    • Coordinate annual audit, and annual shareholder reporting
    • Interface with operations controlling team to complete month end closing on time, consolidate monthly financials including actuals and forecasts, prepare annual budget, load Tagetik, roll standard costs, contribution margin analysis, etc.
    • Support Headquarter departments in overhead expense controlling and R&D controlling
    • Review and control PPV and VAVE savings
    • Manage company assets and develop depreciation & amortization, including tangible and intangible.
    • Maintain insurance policies
    • Other assigned tasks

     

    IATF16949 RESPONSIBILITIES   The IATF16949 responsibilities listed below are required for this position.   Other responsibilities may be added, with or without notice in writing, at any time.

     Adhere to all IATF16949 procedures as related to the finance department function

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position manages both financial & accounting staff in both the United States and Mexico.  The position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this staff.  The position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving personnel problems.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    This position requires a professional with extensive experience in department, personnel management and various Accounting and Financial disciplines. The position requires capability to define and deploy Accounting & Financial regulatory and legal requirements.  Strong written & verbal communication skills are required.  Knowledge of and experience in the deployment of continuous improvement initiatives is required. The position requires an ability to build and maintain relationships with internal customers. The position requires coordination with other professionals in the business both domestic and international at all organizational levels. The person must have experience developing, deploying and maintaining Financial & Accounting management systems, metrics and processes.

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    A bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Accounting is required. A Master's degree in business administration is preferred. A CPA certification is required.  No less than 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting leading and managing Finance and Accounting professionals. Finance experience in an automotive tier 1 company is required.  Spanish fluency preferred.

     

    LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS

    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required.  The position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical reports, financial reports, and legal documents.  The ability to effectively respond to inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies, executives or members of the business community.  Must have the ability to write presentations, internal communications and process manuals and instructions that conform to prescribed style and format. Have the ability to effectively present and communicate information to all levels of the business & external audiences.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to work with mathematical and financial concepts used for writing and interpreting metrics, reading and writing financial reports and creating and maintaining department budgets. Must have a high level of capability with Microsoft Excel and Excel equations and concepts.

     

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.   Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
