Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements. Additionally, Systems Consultant/Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Systems Consultant/Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions, you’ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.

    We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Adaptive Communication and Sensing (AC&S) product line to lead our Network Tactical Common Data Link (NTCDL) program. This role will report to the AC&S Product Line Director.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Lead the Network Tactical Common Data Link (NTCDL) program teams through all phases of the lifecycle with profit & loss accountability
    • Manages, coordinates, plans, organizes, controls, integrates, and executes a projects or collection of projects. Ensures achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives. Participates in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company. Models and demonstrates strong leadership in ethics, safety and security.
    • Provide proactive cross function leadership of a key strategic portfolio to achieve customer commitments and business growth expectations.
    • Demonstrate visible leadership across the portfolio, leading by example to deliver program performance excellence.
    • Execute using Earned Value Management techniques and other analytical industry best practices
    • Communicate effectively and work cross functionally in a highly matrixed organization to achieve results.
    • Actively develop and execute a strategy to support the NTCDL integrated business and technology growth plan.
    • Lead through inspiration and encouragement and foster a culture of innovative problem solving, performance excellence, and continuous improvement on the program team to deliver affordable, effective, and dependable outcomes.
    • Serve as a member of the AC&S Leadership Team, actively partnering with other team members to drive innovative and consistent strategy across the product line.

    Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status


    Required Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Experience of experience in program or capture management and/or with functional activities related to the program lifecycle, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in building customer and supplier relationships, leading customer interactions and discussions of a technical and/or strategic nature.
    • Ability to understand customers’ needs and objectives
    • Ability to lead complex teams that are distributed across geographic locations in a borderless fashion.
    • Financial management expertise and experience executing to revenue and profit targets
    • Personnel leadership and management of a diverse, cross functional team
    • The ability to develop creative solutions to highly complex problems
    • Strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate the program status across the AC&S team.


    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Master’s degree line
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or DAWIA Level II/III
    • Prior experience leading production programs with transition to production knowledge


    Pay Information
    Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
