Systems Consultant/Engineering Manager oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Manager directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements. Additionally, Systems Consultant/Engineering Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Systems Consultant/Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Purpose of this team - Finding someone with the right construction management experience and sticking to the timeline. Reason for the request - They need a construction manager to help support the data center sites.. They are numerous employees that they will be overseeing and making the data center is constructed within a specific deadline. Motivators for this need - Won't be able to get their worksite fully constructed/completed by 2024. Typical task breakdown and rhythm - 40% Walking the job site twice a day, they would offices inside construction trailer, 20% engage in some meetings (High risk activity meetings), weekly meetings they need to attend. 40% most of this work will be in the field and coordinating with contractor in regard to safety requirements Interaction level with team - High level interaction with sponsor & others on the team. Chance for flex hours or remote - Yes to flex hours and no to remote work Chance for extension later - Yes Years of experience required - They are looking for 5 years of experience as a Construction Management professional. Expecting to come in and hit the ground running and not be trained on how to manage as safety program. There is guidance but expect others to hit the ground running Degrees or certifications required - No degree Best vs. average - Ideally data center construction experience would be ideal. Interworking knowledge or being part of data center safety is huge. Someone who has great experience with "MAP" mechanical electrical plumbing.
