SUMMARY:
We are actively looking for a Design Engineer to serve as the technical expert during the post sales project process. The Design Engineer will work closely with the Projects team including field and office staff to ensure successful project execution. This will include creating submittal documentation, finalizing SA estimates for field execution, working with field staff to identify product and design issues, as well as supporting the PM team for coordination meetings as may be needed.
The Design Engineer is expected to be an internal technical resource looked to by SA, and Junior Design Engineers for level technical design expertise. The Design Engineer is expected to be able to translate and create a design scope assisting Sr. Design Engineers, SAs, and the Projects team as appropriate based on the opportunity.
The Design Engineer is required to have a degree of independence with the ability to draw upon experience as well as internal and external resources to complete complex and challenging requests within expected time frames.
The Design Engineer, through mentoring, may work closely with the Sr. Design Engineer team for complex tasks and work prioritization. The Design Engineer shall work with PM group to support plan review, coordination meetings and site reviews as may be necessary.
The Design Engineer is expected to be able to support sales if needed but this is not assumed to be a large part of the job function. Site visits may be required but are assumed to be minimal and primarily in a role supporting Sr Design Engineer team.
