The Systems Engineer (SE) will work within the engineering team to design and manage the architecture for new and existing product baselines. Responsible for ensuring the design meets all customer requirements and ensuring successful integration with system hardware. The SE will be expected to provide technical leadership throughout the product development life cycle, along with assisting the team in an agile development environment. The SE must have a strong understanding of training systems, design, development, integration and testing to be successful in this role.

Job Location: Oviedo, FL/ Hybrid

Schedule: 2 days Remote / 3 days Office

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and design efficient solutions that fully satisfy all allocated and derived requirements for behavior and performance. Analyzes the technical and logistical risks associated with proposed solutions and makes recommendations for mitigating risks.
• Conduct and lead Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events such as: Systems Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and Test Readiness Review (TRR).
• Create and review associated contractual documents (i.e., CDRLs): User manuals, Test procedures, Test Plans, Reports, etc.
• Perform system integration and test including the documenting and tracking system Defect Reports (DRs) from creation through resolution.
•    Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Able to understand and support both physical and virtual simulators to test and validate system designs.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and system engineering development experience (design, planning, testing, etc...), or minimum 3 years with Master’s degree.
• Experience: 4 years of experience of fundamental systems engineering of lifecycle processes and practice of hardware/software intensive systems in the following systems engineering disciplines: requirements analysis and management, system design and/or system integration and test.
• US Citizenship: must be capable of obtaining and maintaining US Department of Defense secret security clearance.
• Skills:

• Experience in two or more of the following systems engineering disciplines: requirements analysis and management, system design, and/or system integration and testing.
• Experience with bug tracking tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Additional Skills (Preferred-Not required):

•  
• Experience working with virtual simulators.
• Leadership of teams and/or projects
• Requirements Management tool (e.g., DOORS or Team Foundation Server)
• Software configuration management tool (e.g., Subversion or Team Foundation Server)
• Experience in a CMMI Level 3 organization.
