Systems Engineering Director oversees the department responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Provides leadership to the team and ensures the requirements of the projects/contracts are met. Being a Systems Engineering Director ensures that hardware and/or software are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the organization. Evaluates, designs and develops existing reports/documents for the performance of the systems. Additionally, Systems Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Systems Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Systems Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     • Create documentation and artifacts to support and sustain best business practices to develop and maintain Middle-Tier software in accordance to DoD and SYSCOM policies, providing metrics and reports that will show that applications are functional and accessible.
    • Consult with functional analysts to define and redefine specifications and requirements for USMC systems changes.
    • Analyze log/error files for problem resolution.
    • Support and enhance Installation of Information System changes and/or web services changes, advising of results and solutions to issues encountered.
    • Generate business cases, level-of-efforts, recommendations, and other technical advice to ensure integrated system solutions.
    Education and Training Requirements
    • A bachelor’s degree is desired. No certification is required, but should have a broad knowledge and experience of computer networking, administration and installations of networks. 
    • Security is required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
    • ITILv3 Foundation is desired.
    Security Clearance Requirement:
    DoD Secret clearance or higher
