Systems Engineering Director oversees the department responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Provides leadership to the team and ensures the requirements of the projects/contracts are met. Being a Systems Engineering Director ensures that hardware and/or software are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the organization. Evaluates, designs and develops existing reports/documents for the performance of the systems. Additionally, Systems Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Systems Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Systems Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Reporting Structure: This position is part of the hotel executive team and will report to the General Manager.
Wage: $100,000 to $115,000 with a 25% bonus paid quarterly
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and routine maintenance on operating systems.
- Oversee inventory management, department budgeting, safety controls, and annual certifications/licenses.
- Ensure guest accommodations and work environments are safe.
- Conduct training, motivational development, and performance reviews for engineering staff.
- Meet Concord Hospitality and Hotel Brand compliance standards.
- Provide clear communication to the General Manager, Concord, and ownership regarding areas of concern.
