Systems Engineering Director oversees the department responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Provides leadership to the team and ensures the requirements of the projects/contracts are met. Being a Systems Engineering Director ensures that hardware and/or software are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the organization. Evaluates, designs and develops existing reports/documents for the performance of the systems. Additionally, Systems Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Systems Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Systems Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. The Systems Requirements Engineering Group Manager provides technical and strategic leadership to the centralized product definition and requirements functions including detailed requirements development for the Systems, Mechanical, Hardware, and Software teams. Works with the other GHSP functional engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams to deliver clearly defined requirements for product development, validation, and verification in support of meeting the company and customer objectives.
