Systems Engineering Director oversees the department responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Provides leadership to the team and ensures the requirements of the projects/contracts are met. Being a Systems Engineering Director ensures that hardware and/or software are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the organization. SUMMARY
Reporting to an Engineering Supervisor, this position will create drawings and bills of materials for standard and custom building product lines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The candidate we seek will have an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year school or technical school. Must have experience using AutoCAD. A candidate with an understanding of sheet metal building components and or pre-engineered metal building systems is preferred. Must be detail oriented.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as correspondence, bills of materials, drawings, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak English effectively in person and over the telephone.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have valid driver's license. Occasional travel may be required.

While this position will consist of office work, it is in a manufacturing facility. The employee may have to be on the production floor surrounded by moving mechanical parts and equipment as well as on job sites, as necessary. The employee must comply with the dress code and PPE requirement such as safety glasses with side shields and steel toed shoes. Temperatures and noise levels vary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move greater than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and color vision. Ability to read drawings, contracts and other business documents. Also, able to distinguish between colors on a computer screen, in order to efficiently use CAD.
