RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise.  We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team.  The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes.  This position will operate hybrid with a minimum of 3 days a week at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility in Mossville, IL.

Embedded Software Engineer 

This position is associated with the design & development of embedded software that controls machine operations & functions for off-road heavy construction and mining equipment. The role uses primarily Jenkins programming language, but experience in similar systems such as GitLab, Atlassian Bamboo, CircleCL & other embedded languages. Real world/real time embedded device driver experience is required. 

Minimum 2-4yrs experience - more is acceptable.  Salary consummates with experience.

Responsibilities

• Concept, design, test, document & promote new software features/processes
• Perform analysis, evaluate new languages, develop tools or processes
• Product maintenance
• Manage software life cycle
• Communicate technical information 
• Build process configuration management

Requirements

• Real world device driver experience (primary)
• Proficiency in Git (Clearcase preferred)
• Jenkins experience (or similar) 
• Troubleshooting/debugging
