As an Enterprise Azure Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex Azure-based solutions for our organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define architectural standards, and develop scalable and secure cloud architectures. Your role will involve providing technical leadership, guiding teams through the entire project lifecycle, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and Azure architectural principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-scale solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, considering factors such as scalability, availability, security, and cost optimization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical designs and architectural blueprints.
Define and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices for Azure cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams on implementing Azure services and technologies effectively.
Design and implement highly available and resilient architectures for mission-critical applications, leveraging Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, and Azure Functions.
Architect data solutions on Azure, including data storage, data processing, and analytics services, ensuring data security, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with security teams to design and implement robust security controls and compliance measures for Azure environments.
Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps pipelines to streamline deployment and management of Azure resources.
Stay updated on emerging Azure technologies, features, and best practices, and evaluate their applicability to improve our cloud architecture and drive innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience designing, architecting, and implementing enterprise-scale solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
In-depth understanding of Azure services and technologies across compute, networking, storage, databases, security, and governance.
Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
Experience with architecting and implementing microservices-based architectures and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Familiarity with Azure security best practices, identity management, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, and SOC 2. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and automation frameworks such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are highly desirable.
