Systems Engineering Director oversees the department responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Provides leadership to the team and ensures the requirements of the projects/contracts are met. Being a Systems Engineering Director ensures that hardware and/or software are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the organization. Evaluates, designs and develops existing reports/documents for the performance of the systems. Additionally, Systems Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Systems Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer - Power Systems performs electrical power systems studies and analysis for industrial and utility clients. Utilizing industry standard analysis software (ETAP, SKM, etc.), the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to create study cases, analyze results, and provide detailed written reports. A strong fundamental understanding of industrial and utility power systems and calculation methods is required.
The Electrical Engineer - Power Systems is responsible for working with clients and other Nexus personnel to prepare studies including:
The Electrical Engineer - Power Systems reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer or Engineering Discipline Manager. Completed technical work is provided to senior management prior to presentation to the client.
This position will require occasional travel (2-3 times per year) of up to one week to visit client facilities to gather data along with other Nexus personnel.
Qualifications:
• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Working knowledge of ETAP is required.
• Familiarity with other systems analysis tools such as SKM is desired.
• 5 Years of experience in power systems studies
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Products
Education/Certification Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
