CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

  • Duties

    • You will review quality control plans and assessments of contractor performance through field surveillance and documentation procedures, and you will prepare quality assurance reports for site visited each day.
    • You will review contractor submittals including shop drawings, samples, data, etc.; accident prevention plans; and quality control plans for compliance with contract documents.
    • You will assist in preparation of Project Management Plans (PMP) and changes to the PMP baseline scope, schedule, and budget.
    • You will determine the need for and propose contract modifications and substitution of materials.
    • You will prepare cost estimates for modifications and participate in negotiations involving time extensions and impact of modification on project schedule.

    Qualifications

    GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying construction management principles to support military construction initiatives; 2) Using construction methods and techniques to interpret contract documents for a wide variety of complex, major construction projects and systems for facilities and environmental projects; 3) Performing quality assurance surveillance to support construction operations; and 4) Interpreting current acquisition law and federal, agency and departmental acquisition regulations to support construction, facilities and environmental contracts.
