Role Overview

We are looking for an Electronics System Architect, to support our Transportation Business Unit moving from pneumatic components towards electronically controlled sub systems. This role would act as the technical interface with customers on all questions relating to Electronics, including Hardware and Software through the full development life cycle.

You'll need a strong mechatronic background and experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry would be significant advantage. The role will support various development projects, driven by our Technical Centers around the globe.

Key Responsibilities

• Works closely with both commercial and engineering functions to develop platform product specifications, which will meet the needs of multiple customers
• Engage with customers technical function and define and execute development projects. On top assess the implications for likely future requirements and able to partner with them to help to review different options.
• Be seen as a technical expert by the customer, someone who has key knowledge in the sector and is a problem solver.
• Forms relationships with the technical leaders within customers
• Clearly identify and understand customer requirements and then be able to influence these, understanding how to meet their needs
• Ability to adjust, tweak and modify the SW releases on an as needed basis

Skills & Experience

• Degree in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science or similar
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of Hardware AND Software
• Electronics (HW and SW) capabilities
• Programming capabilities (C, C ) on embedded systems (i.e. Cortex M, bare metal and RTOS), experience with source control and bug tracking systems (i.e. Subversion, GIT, Jira)
• Experienced with various peripherals as well as serial protocols like CAN, SPI and I²C
• Experience on Functional Safety development according to ISO 26262
• Application knowledge within the Commercial vehicle or automotive market
• Project Management experience advantageous
• Fluent in English, German or Chinese advantageous
