Systems Engineering Technician assists systems engineers in the development of the systems infrastructure. Completes support tasks related to the design and implementation of hardware and/or software for the systems. Being a Systems Engineering Technician tracks and reports on systems performance. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Systems Engineering Technician typically reports to a manager. Description
The electro-mechanical engineering technician will be responsible for diagnostics and repair of various manufacturing equipment. This position is responsible for helping design and install production equipment and tooling. The electro-mechanical engineering technician will also create schematics, drawings, and work procedures and provide training to technicians and production employees on proper equipment use and maintenance.
Essential Functions
1. Conduct setup and programming of manufacturing equipment
2. Assists engineering in the evaluation of new processes, equipment selection, & materials
3. Acts as liaison between engineering and manufacturing
4. Creates new procedures and updates existing ones
5. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems
6. Determines materials, replacement parts, and tools needed to proceed with a logical approach to repairs, maintenance and rebuilds.
7. Ability to read and follow equipment manufacturer’s specifications.
8. Proficient in using electronic diagnostic equipment
9. Proficient in wiring and soldering
10. Create schematics for custom equipment.
11. Perform layout and bench work; inspect, dismantle, repair, rebuild, assemble, weld, install and lubricate machinery and mechanical equipment throughout the manufacturing facility.
12. Creative and effective problem-solving skills
13. Completes tasks as directed by Manager with minimum supervision

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and areas where electrical current is present. Job duties are often performed in areas where hazardous chemicals are present. The electro-mechanical engineer will be required to learn and assist in all areas of production, including the clean room. Appropriate clean room attire and PPE must be worn as required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible. Monday through Friday, starting between 6:00am and 8:30am to 2:30p and 5:00pm
Travel
Regular travel between Mini-Systems divisions in the North Attleboro area will be required.
Required Education and Experience
1. AS/BS degree in an Electro-mechanical Engineering field or equivalent work experience
2. Five years minimum of related experience in a manufacturing environment
3. Five years minimum in the electronics field
4. Read, write, and verbally communicate in English
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)
6. Proficient with AutoCAD and Solid Works
7. Valid driver’s license and own transportation
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Experience in an ISO 9001 environment
2. Experience working in clean room/manufacturing environment
