Under the supervision of the Water & Wastewater Superintendent, or Utilities Foreperson, performs work in the maintenance of water distribution and sewer collection systems, operates trucks and medium equipment in conjunction with the work.
This position is responsible for the location, maintenance and repair of water and sewer lines. Involved in operation of equipment including sewer jet, pumps, tampers, pipe saws, compressors, jack hammers and dump trucks. Install, maintain and replace water meters and fire hydrants.
Qualifications include possession of CDL Class B or higher. Successful completion of State Certification of Water Distribution and Sewer Collection Systems within one year of appointment.
